Welcome to Pawsitive Soul!!
My name is Éainne (pronounced Aay-Nee-Ah), animal lover, adventure seeker and founder of the Pawsitive Soul community and can I just say, I’m stoked you have joined me on this quest for a happier, healthier lifestyle with a little help from our furry mentors.
I aim to help you on this journey of joy by bringing you some killer content. You will find topics such as pets, wellness, adventure and intentional living, inspirational stories from the community as well as some seriously mouth watering recipes for you and your pets to try out. You can also expect a sprinkle of some personal challenges and goals to join me in here and there as well. So if you are an animal lover who strives for personal growth, you are in the right place.
A huge aspect of smashing personal goals is having a solid support group behind you and that’s where The Pawsome Pack Facebook Group comes in. My number one goal for The Pawsome Pack is to create a welcoming, safe online space where members can share their stories, adventures, and wins (big and small) while being comfortable enough to ask for advice and help when they need it.
In the group you will also find daily prompts to participate in, aiding you on your journey of self care. My personal favourites are Thankful Tuesdays (because it’s sometimes easy to forget to appreciate what you already have) and, of course, Furbaby Fridays were we can get our weekly cuteness fix by seeing all of our furry members and what they have been up to during the week! Why not call over, say hi and find your own personal favourite prompt of the week? Hope to see you there!
A little bit more about me…
Growing up in the Irish countryside, I always had a dog (or any animal!) by my side. My pets were my best friends, confidants and reluctant guests at my tea parties when I was a kid. Me and my canine crew did everything together! We did agility training, dog shows and even wore matching red bandanas for a while (it was an awkward phase), but most enjoyably we went on adventures together. It wasn’t until I moved out of the countryside for college that this way of life changed for me.
Due to the tenancy rules, it is extremely difficult to find a place to live that allows pets and so my sweet dogs had to stay back home with my parents, two hours away. I loved going home to see my dogs (and I guess seeing my family was good too 🙂 ). Whenever I went home, I would make sure to fit in a hike of some sort to help me to hit the refresh button, especially when things got overwhelming in college, or work after I graduated.
Sadly, my dog Tigger of 15 years passed away last October due to heart failure and it brought to light the impact my beloved dogs over the years had on my life, the unconditional love they taught me and the positive outlook on life they instilled in me. I thought to myself, “If I could impact people in even a fraction of the way my dogs have impacted my life I would be making a difference.” And so, this passionate animal lover decided to start the Pawsitive Soul community!
WHAT I BRING TO THE TABLE…
Something else you guys should know about me is I’m considered a real ‘doer’ among my friends. Someone who sets a goal and gets it done, through hell or high water. When I get asked how I stay so self-motivated I tell them that I’m a real believer in ‘failing forward’ – which sounds funny at first but bare with me.
There is a great quote from John Gardner,
“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities – brilliantly disguised as insoluble problems”.
this quote encapsulates my way of life. When I was about 8 years old, I took up Irish dancing classes and absolutely sucked at it. I had awful coordination and I could never remember the steps.
But I stuck with it because I enjoyed the community and made friends that I am still close to today. I may not have got the obvious outcome from the classes, I certainly don’t have a trophy case I proudly shine everyday, but I did gain great value from the classes in the form of lifelong friendships. And so, I want to bring these skills & values to you, sharing real purpose with the Pawsitive Soul community.
